I believe that people, horses, things, situations all tend to come into our lives at the right time. The trick is being open to them in the moment. Such was the case with my introduction to Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy. This is my PEMF Story.
At The Breaking Point
Anyone who has spent a lifetime training horses knows the toll it takes on your body. I started training for the public in 1988. I officially relinquished my Non-Professional status in 1990. For 30 years I've started young horses, hit the ground, taken the jerking and body slamming that go along with it. I've been kicked in the face (requiring plates to reconstruct it), dislocated a rib, sustained multiple rotator cuff injuries in BOTH shoulders, fractured my neck twice, ruptured my ACL and suffered several serious concussions. By 2018, A lifetime of abusing my body had caught up with me. I suffered intense, debilitating headaches, chronic neck and back pain, swelling and constant pain in the knee I had reconstructed in 2008 and chronic fatigue. I had come to the conclusion that I could no longer continue to train horses for a living and fell into a serious depression.
When people who knew me before PEMF hear about the pain I was enduring, they always say, "I had no idea!" I guess I just figured I had two options - either give up or tough it out and keep doing the things I loved. Even at that, the pain escalated to a point I was beginning to crack under it's weight.
In The Right Place At The Right Time
In July of 2018, I was visiting my family in Canada and teaching a horsemanship clinic. I had recently re-injured my right shoulder and it was very unstable. My Aunt had a PEMF Technician, Kathy, working on her stallion for a torn suspensory ligament. Kathy noticed me guarding my shoulder and offered to work on it with her system. A short 30 minute session reduced my pain to the point I could begin to move my shoulder. I slept soundly through the night for the first time in over three years. She worked on me for an hour two days later and as I drove home, I was amazed at how much energy I had and how little pain. As soon as I got home, I dove into researching PEMF!

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy - A Revelation
